Power Steering Pump, Removing And Installing, Vehicles With Dynamic Steering With 12-Cylinder Engine: Installing
Installation is the reverse of removal, with special attention to the following:
-- Position the pressure line -1- on the Power Steering Pump -V119-. Tighten the bolt -3- and then union nut for the pressure line.
-- Connect the connector -2-.
Before installing a new Power Steering Pump -V119- on the intake side, fill with hydraulic fluid and install it by hand until the fluid drains out on the pressure side.
Hose supports and hoses must be free of oil and grease before installation.
Secure all hose connections with new hose clamps. Refer to the Parts information.
After replacing the Power Steering Pump -V119-, check the ribbed belt pulley alignment. Refer to the appropriate Service Information .
-- Install the ribbed belts. Refer to the appropriate Service Information .
-- Bleed the steering. Refer to STEERING, BLEEDING AFTER REPLACING .
-- Check the steering for leaks. Refer to STEERING, CHECKING FOR LEAKS .
-- Clean oiled places in engine compartment.
