Fuel Additive For FSI Engines, Adding
NOTE:
Applies to certain countries only. Refer to the Maintenance table.
-- Add Fuel Injector Cleaner G17 depending on the measured value for the regular fuel tank. Refer to READING MEASURED VALUE BLOCK 32 .
- Add Fuel Injector Cleaner G17 into the fuel tank in a ratio of 10 ml of additive for every 10 liters of fuel.
- The following table shows the required quantities for each fuel level shown in the fuel gauge.
Mixture Ratio:
| Fuel gauge | G17 additive |
|---|---|
| Approximately 1/4 | Approximately 23 ml |
| Approximately 1/2 | Approximately 45 ml |
| Approximately 3/4 | Approximately 68 ml |
| Approximately 1/1 | Approximately 90 ml |
NOTE:
The values in the table are based on a 90 liter fuel tank.
If there are other fuel capacities in the fuel tank which are not mentioned in the table, then add 10 ml of additive for every 10 liters of fuel.
If values 2 and 4 in measured values block 32 deviate (Refer to READING MEASURED VALUE BLOCK 32 .) then increase the amount of Fuel Injector Cleaner G17 by factor 4. Example: fuel gauge at 1/4, approximately 90 ml of fuel additive G17.
WARNING:
If the repeated measured value in measured values block 32 then a repair is necessary. Refer to ENGINES CTUB - FUEL INJECTORS
, ENGINES CEUA, CGTA, CTFA & CTGA - FUEL INJECTORS
, ENGINES CDRA - FUEL INJECTORS
or ENGINES CEJA & CTNA - FUEL INJECTORS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
