Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor -G336-, CHECKING
Function
The Intake Manifold Runner Control Valve -N316- of one cylinder bank are connected to each other by a continuous metal shaft to form a single unit and are moved by a pneumatic actuator. The rotation angle of the shaft and with it the position of the Intake Manifold Runner Control Valve -N316- is measured by a several position feedback sensors (e.g. potentiometers) at the output end of the shaft. The spring-driven default position for the flap is "open".

- Multimeter.

- Scan Tool.
Test requirements
- Fuses OK.
- Battery voltage OK.
- Switch OFF all electrical and electronic accessories.
- Vehicles with Auto. Transmission, ensure Selector Lever position is in "P".
- Vehicles with Man. Transmission, ensure Shifter Lever position is in "N" with Parking Brake applied.
