Vehicle Alignment Procedure Overview
Vehicle must only be measured at curb weight, refer to VEHICLE ALIGNMENT TEST REQUIREMENTS !
Check which suspension is installed in the vehicle. This information can be found on the vehicle data plate PR NUMBER EXPLANATIONS
Observe the following work sequence!
1 - Drive the vehicle onto the alignment rack without tension. Move the vehicle back and forth if necessary to relieve any tension on the axle components.
2 - The steering wheel must be "evened out" into the center position before beginning the measuring and adjusting. Use Steering Wheel ScalesVAS6458 for this.
3 - If necessary, check steering rack center position STEERING RACK, CHECKING CENTER POSITION .
4 - On vehicles with air suspension, check axle alignment control position AXLE ALIGNMENT CONTROL POSITION ON VEHICLES WITH AIR SUSPENSION, CHECKING .
5 - Perform wheel run-out compensation, refer to WHEEL RUN-OUT COMPENSATION .
6 - Check front axle caster, adjust if necessary, refer to FRONT AXLE CASTER, ADJUSTING .
7 - Check front axle camber and adjust if necessary, refer to FRONT AXLE CAMBER, ADJUSTING .
8 - Check front axle toe and adjust if necessary, refer to FRONT AXLE TOE, ADJUSTING .

10 - Check rear axle toe and adjust if necessary, refer to REAR AXLE TOE, ADJUSTING .
11 - Check front axle toe angle again and adjust if necessary, refer to FRONT AXLE TOE ANGLE, CHECKING AND ADJUSTING .
12 -If adjustments have been made on the rear axle, ACC adjustment is required, refer to ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL .
13 - If the rear axle adjustments have been changed, then is it necessary to calibrate the lane assist, refer to CALIBRATION PROCEDURE
14 - If adjustments have been made on the suspension, perform a zero adjustment on the Steering Angle Sensor -G85- using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
