Diagnostic Overview 

Diagnostics in this article assume a certain skill level and knowledge of Ford-specific diagnostic practices. Refer to Diagnostic Methods in Service Information for information about these practices.

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

The APIM and GPSM communicate with the BCM through the MS-CAN.

DTC Fault Trigger Conditions 

DTC Description Fault Trigger Conditions
U0140:00 Lost Communication With Body Control Module: No Sub Type Information Set by the APIM and GPSM when network messages are missing from the BCM for more than 5 seconds with the ignition in RUN.
