Fuel Pressure Sensor -G247-, Checking
Function
The Fuel Pressure Sensor -G247- is located on the lower fuel distributor pipe. It measures the fuel pressure in the high-pressure fuel system. The Engine Control Module -J623- analyzes the signal and regulates the fuel high pressure through the Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve -N276- in the high-pressure pump. If the Fuel Pressure Sensor fails, the fuel pressure regulator valve is activated at a fixed value by the Engine Control Module -J623-.

Test requirements
- Fuses OK.
- Battery voltage OK
- Switch OFF all electrical and electronic accessories.
- Vehicles with Auto. Transmission, ensure Selector Lever position is in "P".
- Vehicles with Man. Transmission, ensure Shifter Lever position is in "N" with Parking Brake applied.
- Coolant Temperature: ≥ 80 °C.
- Observe all safety precautions: SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
- View clean working conditions: CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS
