Power Steering Pump, Removing And Installing, Vehicles With Dynamic Steering With 8-Cylinder Engine: Installing

Installation is the reverse of removal, with special attention to the following:

NOTE:

Replace seals and sealing rings.

Before installing the new power steering pump on the intake side, fill the Hydraulic Oil and install it by hand until oil drains out on the high pressure side.

Hose supports and hoses must be free of oil and grease before installation.

Secure all hose connections with new hose clamps .

-- Grease the splines on the power steering pump -1- and input shaft -3- all the way around .

-- Install the input shaft -3- all the way into the power steering pump.

-- Attach the power steering pump to the engine.
