Engine Mount, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Support the engine in its installed position, refer to ENGINE, SUPPORTING IN INSTALLED POSITION .

-- Remove the noise insulations, refer to NOISE INSULATION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the corresponding front wheel spoiler, refer to FRONT WHEEL SPOILER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, AUDI A7/S7 .

Left Engine Mount

-- Remove the ribbed belt, refer to RIBBED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

CAUTION:

Risk of damaging refrigerant lines and hoses.

  • Do not stretch, kink or bend refrigerant lines and hoses.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- If applicable, remove bracket -1-.

-- Remove the Air Conditioning (A/C) compressor from the bracket and tie it up.

-- If present, remove the bolts -arrow-, Press stop -1- for the torque support towards the engine.

-- Remove the left subframe bolt -2-.

NOTE:

The left subframe bolts -1 and 3- and all the right subframe bolts remain installed.

Right Engine Mount Version 1

-- Remove the nut -1-.

Left and Right Engine Mount Version 1

-- Remove the left and right bracket with the connector -2 - for the Left Electrohydraulic Engine Mount Solenoid Valve - N144- /Right Electrohydraulic Engine Mount Solenoid Valve - N145- from the subframe.

-- Disconnect the connectors and free up the wires.

Right Engine Mount Version 2

-- Remove the bolt -1-.

Left and Right Engine Mount Version 2

-- Disconnect the left and right connectors -2- for the Left Electrohydraulic Engine Mount Solenoid Valve -N144- /Right Electrohydraulic Engine Mount Solenoid Valve - N145- and remove them from the bracket.

-- Disconnect the connectors and free up the wires.

-- Remove the left and right bolts -1 and arrows-, set aside the retaining plate.

NOTE:

Ignore item -2-.

-- Lift the engine using the Engine Support Bridge - Spindle 10-222A/11 -1- on the respective side to dimension -a-.

-- Remove the engine mount.
