Component Location Overview - Transmission Control Module

The Mechatronic unit incorporates the hydraulic control, the transmission control module, the multifunction transmission range switch and the sensors and actuators as a complete synchronized unit. The following are part of:

  1. Automatic Transmission Pressure Regulating Valve 8 -N510-, depending on the date of manufacture, also Solenoid Valve 1 -N88-
  2. Automatic Transmission Pressure Regulating Valve 7 -N443-
  3. Automatic Transmission Pressure Regulating Valve 6 -N371-
  4. Transmission Output Speed Sensor -G195-
  5. Automatic Transmission Pressure Regulating Valve 3 -N217-
  6. Automatic Transmission Pressure Regulating Valve 5 -N233-
  7. Automatic Transmission Pressure Regulating Valve 2 -N216-
  8. Automatic Transmission Pressure Regulating Valve 4 -N218-
  9. Automatic Transmission Pressure Regulating Valve 1 -N215-

  3. Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor -G93-
  4. Drive Position Sensor -G676-
NOTE:

OBD checks all the components named.

Only the complete "Mechatronic" unit can be replaced.

Removing and installing. Refer to MECHATRONIC, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

NOTE: The Transmission Park Selector Switch -F305- can only be replaced together with the Shift Lock Solenoid -N110-.

  1. Connector

Removing and installing. Refer to [For engine(s) CEUC, CRDB] Cooling System .

NOTE: Replace the instrument cluster if one of the transmission range displays is faulty.

A programmed value from the Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor -G79- and Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor 2 -G185- (integrated in accelerator pedal module) are saved in the engine control module as a kick-down signal.

NOTE: The accelerator pedal module must be replaced if the accelerator pedal position sensor is faulty, for the removal and Installation, refer to [For engine(s) CTUA, CEUC, CRDB, CGXB] Accelerator Pedal Mechanism .
