Voice Recognition System, Removing And Installing, From 06/01/2009: Notes

The voice recognition system is a component of the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- (MMI) located at the top of the center console. It cannot be replaced alone.

If it is faulty, then the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- must be replaced.

-- If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Fault Finding"  .

Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

-- Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers and remove the ignition key.
