There is a risk of injury because the fuel is under very high pressure.
- Before opening high pressure area of the fuel injection system, fuel pressure must be relieved to residual pressure.
- Reduce the fuel pressure in the high pressure area, refer to BEFORE OPENING HIGH PRESSURE FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM .
- Do not change bend shape
- Never bend the bracket from the fuel line.
- If the bracket is bent, or if the fuel line is being replaced, then the bracket must be replaced.
- Tightening, see Fig 2

- The fuel rail wields force via the support ring to hold the fuel injector tightly in the cylinder head.

Removing and installing, refer to FUEL INJECTORS
Fig 2: Fastening High-Pressure Line At Fuel Rail Using Torque Wrench VAG 1331 With Open End Wrench Socket VAG 1331/2
-- First tighten the high pressure line union nut by hand.
-- Make sure the high pressure line does not have tension.
-- Use the torque wrench 5-50 Nm VAG 1331 with the 17 mm ring spanner insert VAG 1331/2 to tighten the high pressure line on the fuel rail.
- Tightening specification: union nut on the high pressure lines, 27 Nm
