Output Diagnostic Test Mode (function 03): Notes

NOTE:

Start by switching off ignition; re-start V.A.G 1551, if necessary.
Output Diagnostic Test Mode can only be performed with vehicle stationary and engine stopped.
If Output Diagnostic Test Mode detects a malfunction, locate and correct cause of problem, if necessary.

The following control elements are consecutively actuated in the test:

Actuation of hazard warning lights
Actuation of interior monitor (actuated even if there is no interior monitor)
Actuation of hazard warning lights and interior lighting for checking crash signal
Actuation of central locking warning lamp (cannot be seen)
Triggering of close central locking function
Activation of door lock isolation
Actuation of open central locking function
