Pinpoint Test At : The RBM (Running Board Control Module) Does Not Respond To The Diagnostic Scan Tool: Notes

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

The RBM module communicates with the diagnostic scan tool through the MS-CAN. Diagnostic messages are sent/received between the DLC and the diagnostic scan tool through the HS-CAN2 circuits at the DLC, and are translated through the GWM to the MS-CAN.

Possible Sources 

Visual Inspection and Diagnostic Pre-checks 

Verify BJB fuse 89 (40A) is OK.
