Brake Lamp Switch -F-: Installing

Installation is the reverse of removal. Note the following:

-- Pull out the plunger of the Brake Lamp Switch -F- completely out in the -direction of arrow-.

NOTE:

The plunger does not need to be pulled out before installing, depending on the version. This does not change the installation.

-- Insert the Brake Lamp Switch -F- with tabs -1 and 2- in the designated retainers in the assembly opening.

NOTE:

The brake pedal must not be actuated during installation.

When installing the Brake Lamp Switch -F-, the plunger adjusts itself automatically.

-- Guide the Brake Lamp Switch -F- through the hole -arrow-, press the brake pedal and turn the switch 45° to the right in the -direction of arrow-.

-- Connect the connector.

-- Install the driver side compartment, refer to STORAGE COMPARTMENTS AND COVERS

After adjusting the Brake Lamp Switch -F- check whether the brake pedal is on the end stop (rest position).
