Procedure

-- Remove the frame for the selector lever boot -1- -arrows-.

-- Place selector lever in position "S".

NOTE:

The clamping screw is only accessible when the selector lever is in "S".

Loosen locking screw approximately 1 turn - do not remove completely

-- Loosen the selector lever cable clamping screw approximately 1 turn using Socket And KeyT40031.

-- Press selector shaft lever forward on transmission with end of selector lever cable -2- to stop (position "S" on transmission).

-- Carefully move selector lever lightly toward front and rear without shifting into another selector lever position, this releases the tension on the selector lever cable.

-- Check the exact setting of the selector lever in position "S".

NOTE:

Do not move the selector lever forward or backward while tightening the clamping screw otherwise the adjustment will be incorrect.

-- Tighten selector lever cable locking screw -arrow- in this position.

Installation is performed in reverse order of removal.
