1. Pressure Hose
   • Note the installation position: The angle between the line connection and power steering pump axle is approximately 96°.
2. Banjo Bolt
   • 50 Nm
3. Seal
   • Always replace.
4. Intake Hose
   • The -P- marking on the intake hose must align with the seam on the power steering pump.
5. Clamp
   • Tension with the hose clamp pliersVAG1275 or locking pliersVAS6199.
   • Always replace.
6. Power Steering Pump
   • Fill with Hydraulic Oil before installation.
   • Checking delivery pressure. Refer to POWER STEERING PUMP, CHECKING DELIVERY PRESSURE .
   • Removing and installing. Refer to POWER STEERING PUMP .
7. Belt Pulley
8. Bolt
   • Tightening specification. Refer to WHEEL BOLT TIGHTENING SPECIFICATIONS .
9. Bolt
   • 20 Nm
10. Bracket
11. Sleeve

1. Power Steering Pump
   • There are different versions. Allocation. Refer to the Parts.
   • Fill with Hydraulic Oil before installation.
   • Checking delivery pressure. Refer to POWER STEERING PUMP, CHECKING DELIVERY PRESSURE .
   • Removing and installing. Refer to POWER STEERING PUMP .
2. Bracket
   • The bracket and the power steering pump are a single unit and cannot be separated from each other.
3. Bolt
   • 65 Nm
   • Transmission/engine/bracket/power steering pump bolt.
4. Shaft Seal
   • Replacing. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
5. O-Ring
   • Replacing. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
6. Banjo Bolt
   • 50 Nm
7. Pressure Hose
   • Note the installation position: The angle between the line connection and power steering pump axle is approximately 75°.
8. Seal
   • Always replace.
9. Clamp
   • Tension with the hose clamp pliersVAG1275 or locking pliersVAS6199.
   • Always replace.
10. Intake Hose
    • The -P- marking on the intake hose must align with the seam on the power steering pump.
11. Bolt
    • 20 Nm

   • Fill with Hydraulic Oil before installation.
   • Checking delivery pressure. Refer to POWER STEERING PUMP, CHECKING DELIVERY PRESSURE .
   • Removing and installing. Refer to Removing .
2. Bracket
   • The bracket and the power steering pump are a single unit and cannot be separated from each other.
3. Bolt
   • 65 Nm
   • Transmission/engine/bracket/power steering pump bolt.
4. O-Ring
   • Replacing. Refer to Removing  .
5. Shaft Seal
   • Replacing. Refer to Removing  .
6. Bolt
   • 22 Nm
   • There are different bolt lengths.
7. Banjo Bolt
   • 50 Nm
8. Seal
   • Always replace.
9. Pressurized Line
   • Note the installation position: Angle between line connection and vane pump axle is approximately 41°.
10. Clamp
    • Tension with the hose clamp pliersVAG1275 or locking pliersVAS6199.
    • Always replace.
11. Intake Hose
    • The -P- marking on the intake hose must align with the seam on the power steering pump.
