The steering column is delivered only as a complete replacement part. Service is not possible.

Steering Column
- With mechanical height adjustment.
- Can only be replaced as a unit.
- Removing and installing. Refer to STEERING COLUMN .
Bolt
- 22 Nm
- Observe assembly sequence. Refer to Installing .
Bolt
- 22 Nm

Bolt

Washer
- Installed only on vehicles with electrically adjustable steering column.
Bolt
- 3.6 Nm
- Installed only on vehicles with electrically adjustable steering column.
Reinforcement
- Installed only on vehicles with electrically adjustable steering column.
Steering Column
- With electrical height adjustment.
- Can only be replaced as a unit.
- Removing and installing. Refer to STEERING COLUMN .
Bolt
- 30 Nm
Bulkhead Boot
- Note installed position. Refer to STEERING COLUMN OVERVIEW .
Steering Gear Pinion
Gasket
- The marking -arrow- must point downward
- Note installed position. Refer to STEERING COLUMN OVERVIEW .

-- Install the boot -1- into he plenum chamber bulkhead so that the marking -arrow B- points downward vertically.

-- Install the seal -2- into the bulkhead boot -1- so that the marking -arrow A- points downward vertically.
