Test requirements:

Voltage supply and fuses for appropriate system OK.
See appropriate System Wiring Diagram article.
Connect V.A.G 1551 Scan Tool (ST). See V.A.G 1551 SCAN TOOL (ST), CONNECTING .

NOTE:

If no display appears, use wiring diagram to check power supply for V.A.G 1551.
Additional operating instructions can be called up by pressing the scan tool HELP button.
Next step in program sequence can be selected by pressing --> button.
Incorrect entries can be terminated by pressing -C- button.

Switch on printer by pressing PRINT button (lamp in button lights).
Press button -1- for "Rapid data transfer".

If "No control module response" appears on display: Close door, then open again and keep open. Re-start On Board Diagnostic (OBD).
