1. Universal Joint
2. Bolt
   • 20 Nm + 90° turn
   • Always replace if removed.
3. Electrical Wiring
4. Steering Gear
   • There are different versions.
   • With power steering control module -J500-.
   • Can be tested in "Guided Fault Finding" using the vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051B.
5. Wheel Bearing Housing
6. Nut
   • Applies to all except S3 and RS 3: 20 Nm + 90° turn.
   • Applies to S3: first tighten to 100 Nm; then loosen 180° and tighten again to 100 Nm.
   • Applies to RS 3: 110 Nm.
   • Self-locking
   • Always replace if removed.
7. Subframe with Brackets
8. Bolt
   • 50 Nm + 90° turn
   • Always replace if removed.
9. Clamp with Nuts
   • Not installed on vehicles with Generation III steering gear.
   • Removing and installing, refer to RUBBER BUSHING .
   • Always replace if removed.
10. Heat Shield
11. Bolt
    • 6 Nm
