Activation of Valves for Camshaft Adjustment, Checking

• Disconnect connector at respective solenoid valve.

• Connect voltage test lamp VAG1527 using cables from connector test kit VAG1594 to sockets 1 (B+) and 2 of connector for respective solenoid valve.
• Operate starter for a few seconds. Engine may also start up during this.

Diode test lamp must blink during activation of camshaft adjustment.

If LED lights up continuously.

• Check wire connection of socket 2 of respective connector of solenoid valve for camshaft adjustment for short circuit to Ground (GND).

If voltage test lamp does not blink.

• Check wire connection.
