Read Measuring Value Block (function 08): Notes

The control module can transfer test data (measured values) to VAS 5051 vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system or VAG 1551 scan tool. These measured values can provide information about the operational condition of the system and the sensors connected to it. In many cases the data supplied can be used to help trace and repair malfunctions The measured values provided by the ESP are grouped in six Display Groups, which can be called up via Display Group numbers.

Connect VAS 5051 vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system or VAG 1551 scan tool and select address word 03 for "Brake electronics". See VAG 1551 SCAN TOOL, CONNECTING AND ENTERING ADDRESS WORD .

NOTE:

When the printer is switched on, the contents of the display will be printed out on the scan tool log.
When reading measured value block, also check wiring and connectors for intermittent loose contacts.

Check the control module version. See CHECK CONTROL MODULE VERSIONS (FUNCTION 01) and Press --> button.
