Code Control Module (scan tool function 07)
- Connect VAG1551 scan tool, insert "Transmission Electronics" address word 02, and advance through program sequence until "Select function XX" is displayed. See ON BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD), CHECKING .

- Press buttons -0- and -7- to select "Code Control Module" function 07.
NOTE:
The Transmission Control Module (TCM) can be successfully coded only with:
- Ignition switched on
- Gear selector lever in "P" or "N" position
- Accelerator pedal at Closed Throttle Position (CTP)
- Vehicle not moving
- Engine not running

NOTE:
- The code that was entered is invalid, or is not recognized by the TCM.
- If an invalid code has been entered, the TCM will retain the old coding.
- Only older VAG1551 program cards will display the TCM identification with the old coding after an invalid code has been entered.

An attempt has been made to input coding under conditions that do not permit it (for example, transmission drive mode selected).
