Output Diagnostic Test Mode (function 03): Notes

NOTE:
  • The Output Diagnostic Test Mode may only be performed with the vehicle stationary and the engine not running!
  • Any malfunctions identified by the Output Diagnostic Test Mode must be traced and repaired.

    Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) activates the following components in the specified sequence:

  • Generate alarm triggering (alarm is activated alternatingly via alarm horn and emergency flashers)
  • Trigger interior monitoring (is also triggered if interior monitoring is not installed)
  • Simulate crash signal (switching on of emergency flasher system for checking crash signal).
