Check Control Module Versions (function 01): Notes

Connect VAS 5051 vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system or VAG 1551 scan tool and select address word 03 for "Brake electronics". See VAG 1551 SCAN TOOL, CONNECTING AND ENTERING ADDRESS WORD .

NOTE: The following instructions describe the diagnostic procedure for VAG 1551 scan tool. The procedure when using VAS 5051 vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system is similar.

Go to start position of program by pressing --> button:

Press buttons -0- and -1- for the function "Check Control Module Versions" and confirm entry with -Q- button.

NOTE: Also refer to the Parts List for the correct ABS control module (w/EDL) -J104- for the vehicle.

Indicated on display (Allrad = all wheel drive)

Index 1): Indicates Part No. with control module index.

Index 2): Indicates system designation.

Index 3): Indicates hardware and software status.
