Special tools and equipment
- VAS 5051 or VAG 1551
Test sequence
- Connect VAS 5051 tester or V.A.G 1551 scan tool and select "Address word" 01 for control module for engine electronics. Refer to VAS5051 vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system or VAG1551 scan tool, connecting and selecting functions .
The engine must run at idle for this test.
