Function Mode 07: Coding Instrument Cluster
NOTE:
This mode programs new instrument cluster with optional equipment, market version, number of cylinders, and engine version (turbo or normally-aspirated).
- When RAPID DATA TRANSFER SELECT FUNCTION XX is displayed, press 07, then press "Q" key to confirm input. CODE CONTROL UNIT ENTER CODE NUMBER XXXXX (0-32000) will be displayed. Enter appropriate number. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER CODE table. The first 2 digits of code number reflect vehicle optional equipment. The last 3 digits reflect market version, engine version and number of cylinders.
- If vehicle is equipped with more than one option, add option numbers together (example: 02-seat belt warning system + 04-washer fluid warning system active = 06). For a USA vehicle with seat belt warning and washer fluid warning, enter 06244. Press "Q" key to confirm input. 8N1919930 KOMBIINSTR.+IMM M73 D15 CODING 06244 WSC 06812 will be displayed.
- Press right arrow key. RAPID DATA TRANSFER SELECT FUNCTION XX will be displayed. Press 06 keys. RAPID DATA TRANSFER 06 - END OUTPUT will be displayed. Press "Q" key to confirm input. Press right arrow key to end output diagnostic test mode and return to select function display.
