Brake Backing Plate Bolt 89 (10)
(1) Since bonded rubber bushings can only be turned to a limited extent, tighten all bolts and nuts to specification. Parts that have bonded rubber bushing should be torqued only when vehicle is standing on ground (normal vehicle height).
(2) Always replace with NEW fastener. Always replace self-locking nuts.
(3) Final tighten axle shaft bolt with wheels resting on ground.
(4) There are two version of stabilizer bar coupling links. See Figure -Figure .
(5) For subframe installation and bolt torques, see SUBFRAME & SUBFRAME BUSHINGS  .
(6) Torque depends on type of bolt installed. See BOLT VERSIONS  for proper torque specification.
(7) When tie rod end fastener is loosed or removed, toe constant "S" must be checked and adjusted. See PROCEDURES & SPECIFICATIONS article in WHEEL ALIGNMENT.
(8) With steel wheel bearing housing 74 ft. lbs. (100 N.m). With aluminum wheel bearing housing 92 ft. lbs. (125 N.m).
