CONDITION

Customer requests that specific remote/central locking functions can be "activated".

SERVICE

Review optional control module coding below with customer to confirm the desired function changes. Input codings into central locking control module using function 07, "Code control module".

NOTE: For models listed, the following information will be included in the Repair Manual at the next update.

OPTIONAL CONTROL MODULE CODING

In addition to basic coding, it is possible customers may request the following option:

Vehicle locks automatically upon reaching a speed of about 15 km/h (10 mph) and unlocks when key is removed from ignition.

Connect VAG 1551/1552 to Data Link Connector (DLC) and advance to "Rapid data transfer".

Disconnect VAG 1551/1552 from Data Link Connector (DLC).
