Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) table
- The following table lists all the malfunctions, with the corresponding 5 digit code numbers, that can be recognized by the immobilizer control module -J347 and printed out by the V.A.G 1551. DTCs appear only on print-out.
- The DTC memory records all static and sporadic malfunctions. When a malfunction occurs it is immediately identified as a static malfunction. If the malfunction does not occur again it is registered as a sporadic malfunction. "ISP" appears on the right of the display.
- All malfunctions present are set to sporadic after activation and are only stored as being static if they are still present on completion of checking.
- Sporadic malfunctions which no longer occur after 50 activation cycles are erased automatically.
- Before replacing a component shown as faulty, check wiring and connections to the component as well as Ground (GND) connections according to wiring diagram.
- After carrying out repairs activate and deactivate system once. Then Check DTC Memory again with scan tool V.A.G 1551 and erase memory.
- Only for equipment version with side curtain airbag system
- DTC is set if Ground (GND) is applied for more than 1 minute.
