Tailgate/Trunk Lock

If the tailgate lock cylinder is actuated only once, all doors remain locked. The tailgate/trunk lid re-lock automatically after approx. 5 seconds. The interior lighting is dimmed on or off within approx. 1.5 seconds.

The luggage compartment lighting is controlled by the central locking system pump by way of the tailgate/trunk lid contact switch. If the tailgate/trunk is unlocked, the lighting is switched off after exceeding a speed threshold of about 5 km/h or after 10 minutes.
