DTC 00529: Rpm Signal Missing

  1. Fault may be caused by the following:
    • Open circuit, short to ground or short to battery voltage in circuits between ABS control module and Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
    • Faulty PCM.
    • Faulty ABS control module.
  2. Check for open or short in circuits between ABS control module and PCM. If tachometer on instrument panel is inoperative and no fault can be found in circuits between PCM and ABS control module, substitute a known-good PCM and recheck for symptom and DTC.
