Instrument Cluster Coding Procedure

NOTE: Blue scan tool connector is not used for this procedure.

Connect Scan Tool (VAG 1551) to data link connector. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Select RAPID DATA TRANSFER. Push buttons 0 then 7. Ensure scan tool display shows RAPID DATA TRANSFER Q 07-CODE CONTROL MODULE. Press "Q" button to confirm. Input 00262. Press "Q" button to confirm. Press right arrow button to end coding. Push button 0 then 6 to end. Ensure scan tool display shows RAPID TRANSFER 06-END OUTPUT. Press "Q" button to confirm and exit procedure. Turn ignition switch off. Disconnect scan tool.
