Mass Airflow (MAF) Sensor (ECM "B")
MAF "B" sensor is a new design. As a result of the fully adaptive oxygen sensor control, the CO adjustment potentiometer has been eliminated. The sensor housing is a single casting with the air byp-ass positioned in the center of the housing. The characteristic curve of this sensor is different from the MAF "A" design. DO NOT install MAF "B" sensor on MAF "A" version of the MFI system.
NOTE:
Idle switch is now called Closed Throttle Position (CTP) Switch and throttle potentiometer is now called Throttle Position (TP) Sensor. TP sensor and CTP switch are located in a common housing on the bottom of the throttle housing.
