EGR Temperature Sensor
- Disconnect EGR temperature sensor connector. See the ELECTRICAL COMPONENT LOCATIONS table. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between EGR temperature sensor connector terminals. If 4.5-5.0 volts is not present, repair faulty wiring or replace ECU as necessary.
- If 4.5-5.0 volts is present, turn ignition off. Remove EGR temperature sensor. Set ohmmeter to 200,000-ohm scale. Place EGR temperature sensor in boiling water. Measure resistance across EGR temperature sensor terminals. If resistance changes, EGR temperature sensor is okay. If resistance does not change, replace EGR temperature sensor.
