Idle Switch
- Connect voltmeter between Test Adapter (VW-1501) connector No. 1 and ground. See Figure
. Voltmeter should indicate battery voltage. If battery voltage is not present, repair open or short circuit. Turn ignition off.
- Place .20" (.5 mm) feeler gauge between throttle valve stop and adjustment screw. Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between test adapter connector No. 1 and ground. Resistance should change from zero ohms (with throttle closed) to infinity as throttle gap increases beyond .020" (.50 mm).
- If resistance is not as specified, adjust idle gap to .006-.020"(.15-.50 mm). See Fig 1
. If resistance is as specified, check full throttle switch.
