Air Temperature Sensor

  1. Ensure ignition switch is off. Disconnect ECU harness connector. Ensure resistance between ECU terminals No. 23 and No. 24 is 400-700 ohms. See Figure . If reading is not as specified, peel back air temperature connector boot.
  2. Check air temperature sensor resistance. Resistance should be 400-700 ohms. If resistance is not as specified, replace sensor. If necessary, cut sensor terminals from harness and solder new sensor to harness. If resistance is as specified, check for open or short circuit in wires.
