Idle & Full Throttle Switch

  1. With ignition off, remove harness connector to idle and full throttle switch on throttle body. Connect Test Adapter (VW 1501) between throttle switch and harness connector. See Fig 1 .

  2. Connect voltmeter between test adapter connector 2 and engine ground. Turn ignition on. Voltmeter should read 12 volts. If reading is not as specified, repair break in wiring.
