Strut Assembly: Disassembly

On 80 and 90 models, place strut assembly on bench, attach spring compressor to coil spring, and compress enough to remove upper piston rod retaining nut. Remove strut bearing and upper spring seat.
On 100 and 200 Turbo, mark strut mounting plate position in relation to bearing plate. Place strut assembly on bench and slowly remove spring compressor.
On 80 and 90 models, slowly release tension from coil spring and remove spring. With Cap Remover (2069), remove threaded cap from top of strut cartridge. Remove strut cartridge.
