Full Throttle Switch

  1. Connect voltmeter between terminal No. 3 of throttle switch and ground. Turn ignition on. Voltmeter should read battery voltage. Fasten pointer for Protractor (3084) to adjuster for accelerator cable (use a rubber band). See Figure .
  2. Screw protractor onto throttle shaft and unscrew throttle shaft nut (if necessary). Push throttle lever to full open (at stop limit). Zero pointer plus disc.
  3. Slowly open throttle to full position. Ensure voltage drops near zero when throttle opens 6-14 degrees before contacting full throttle stop. If not, adjust or replace full throttle switch.
