Fuel Consumption Signal (Cis-Motronic)

  1. Ensure air flow sensor is correctly adjusted. See ENGINE SENSORS & SWITCHES (CIS-E Motronic) in the I - SYS/COMP TEST article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE section.
  2. Connect Test Harness (VW 1501) between airflow sensor connector and potentiometer. Connect voltmeter between connector 1 and 3 of Test Harness (VW 1501) Turn ignition ON. If voltage is not 5.0 volts. Adjust airflow potentiometer. See CIS-MOTRONIC, POTENTIOMETER ADJUSTMENT in the D- ADJUSTMENTS article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE section.
