Air Sensor Potentiometer

The air sensor potentiometer generates a voltage signal based on the position of the airflow sensor plate. The FICU uses this signal to determine cold acceleration enrichment.

The ICU uses the information to measure the position of the plate. This measurement determines engine load. This value, along with engine speed, is used to control the ignition timing. The potentiometer is connected to the plate by the air sensor lever.
