Ignition Switch "On" Mode

When TBI system is activated by ignition switch, the system power relay is energized. The fuel pump is then energized by the ECU through the fuel pump relay. The pump will operate for about 1 second, unless the engine is operating or the starter motor is engaged. With ignition switch in "ON" mode, the ECU receives input signals from the CTS (1.7L), MT (1.4L), MAT, and MAP sensors. The up-shift indicator lamp is illuminated.
