Test Equipment
- The equipment required for testing includes: tachometer, hand vacuum pump, digital volt-ohmmeter (minimum 10 megohms impedance), and jumper wires.
- Before beginning any of the tests, fabricate an air cleaner cover from clear plastic that is at least 0.25" thick. See Fig 1 . Remove top of air cleaner. Replace with clear plastic cover, secured with air cleaner wing nut. Observe operation and position of metering pins.

The metering pins operate in tandem. Only the upper pin is visible.
