Wide Open Throttle (Wot) Switch
- Adjust wide open throttle (WOT) switch to establish initial position of switch only if switch has been removed and installed or replaced. Throttle body must be removed from engine for adjustment. Loosen 2 screws holding WOT switch to bracket. Move throttle to wide open position.
- Attach Alignment Gauge (J-26701) on flat surface of throttle lever. See Fig 1. Rotate degree scale of alignment gauge to align 15 degree mark with pointer. Center bubble on gauge. Rotate degree scale so that 0 degree mark is aligned with pointer. Close throttle slightly until bubble centers on gauge.
- Now throttle is 15 degrees before WOT position. Set lever of WOT switch on throttle cam so plunger of switch just closes at 15 degrees before WOT position. Tighten WOT switch retaining screw. Remove alignment gauge. Install throttle body on engine.
