EGR Valve without Backpressure Sensor

This type of EGR valve is used on all 1.4L and 1.7L 4-cylinder engines. This valve is held in its normally closed position by spring pressure. When enough vacuum is applied, the EGR valve opens allowing exhaust gas recirculation.
