Diagnostic Tools
NOTE:
To diagnose fuel system problems, no specialized service equipment is needed. If special tester M.S. 1700 is used, however, the following diagnostic procedures are not applicable.
To test fuel system the service technician must have available the following equipment:
- A digital volt-ohmmeter (or a meter with a minimum input impedance of 1 megohm).
- A 12 volt test lamp (type 1892 or equivalent) and an assortment of jumper wires and probes.
- A hand vacuum pump with gauge.
- An ignition timing light.
