Coolant Temperature Sensor

  1. Disconnect wiring harness from sensor. Disconnect the wiring harness connector. Test resistance of sensor. If resistance is not 300-300,000 ohms (10,000 ohms at room temperature), replace the sensor.
  2. Test resistance of the wiring harness between pin 14 of ECU connector J2 and the sensor connector. Test resistance between pin 11 of connector J2 and sensor connector. Repair wiring harness if any open circuit is found.
