Manifold Air Temperature (Mat) Sensor

  1. Disconnect wiring harness connector from the MAT sensor. Test resistance of the sensor with an ohmmeter. If resistance is not 300-300,000 ohms (10,000 ohms at room temperature), replace sensor.
  2. Test resistance of the wiring harness between pin 13 of ECU harness connector J2 and the sensor connector, and between pin 11 of connector J2 and sensor connector. See Figure for connector identification. Repair harness if resistance is greater than 1 ohm.
