Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Place the steering wheel in a central position with the wheels straight.
  2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the diver air bag. Refer to AIR BAG, DRIVER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  4. Disconnect the wire harness connectors (1a) and (1b) if present.
  5. Remove the cover (2a) of the steering wheel mounting nut.

  6. Remove and DISCARD  the steering wheel mounting nut (1a).
  7. Remove the steering wheel (2a), disengage it from the steering shaft.
  8. Remove steering wheel (2a) by releasing it from wire harness (3a).
