Removal And Installation: Installation

Check that the steering wheel is not damaged.
Check that the front wheels are straight.

Engage the wire harness (1a) on the steering wheel (1b).
Insert the steering wheel (1b) aligning it with the steering wheel shaft (2a), respecting the reference groove (2b) position which lets you position it in one position only with respect to the steering wheel shaft.
Install and tighten a NEW steering wheel mounting nut (3a) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

Engage the cover (1a) of the steering wheel mounting nut.
Connect the wire harness connectors (2a) and (2b) if present.
Install the diver air bag. Refer to AIR BAG, DRIVER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Connect the negative battery cable.
